The starting point for my lifelong interest in photography began in a high school photography class. At that time I found that a hike alone and discovering a beautiful shot gave me a real sense of fulfillment.
An opportunity to work in television while still in college led to a career in sports production. Over more than 40 years I’ve been a live sports photographer and director. As a photographer I’ve worked on most major sporting events, including Super Bowls, Olympics, and World Series.
I’ve also been a director for nearly every major network, NBC, ABC, ESPN, and Fox, as well as several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and San Diego Padres.
My career took priority in my life, and now in retirement I have dedicated myself to landscape photography. My love of travel has taken me to many places. I find nothing more enjoyable than hiking to a spot in Death Vally in the haunting stillness before sunrise, or traveling to the coast of Oregon for a spectacular sunset.Using inspirations of colors, textures, and composition I try to create images that convey my feelings of the moment.
